York's Wild Animal Kingdom

We packed up a lunch, grabbed the sunscreen and the five of us headed for the zoo. We read some books and sang some songs on the way down. I think Caleb almost has "I'm A Little Teapot" down. We're working on it anyway. He's actually learning some new songs at his new daycare/pre-school. Although, he doesn't say much about it, he's doing very well there. His first week was a success! We all think it's a very positive move for him. He's going to learn so much.
We fed ducks, we fed goats, we fed deer, we took a ride on an elephant. It was all very exciting! A lot of very interesting animals. They got to touch a snake. I was holding Maggie when I asked her if she wanted to touch it. I really didn't think she would, but oh yes, she did. Everything Maggie touched that day was a one finger touch. Not sure why? Safer maybe? Caleb was more interested in seeing the snake's head. It kept hiding behind the girl's neck that was holding it, but Caleb insisted on seeing it, so he did. Caleb said, his favorite part was the monkeys, but I think he enjoyed feeding the animals the best. Maggie loved the butterflies! They were flying all around us in this big room. By the end of our journey, we were all wiped out. I don't know how some people can actually start their families at ages "40" something? On the way home, we had cherries for a snack. As you can see on their faces, they enjoyed them.

The Bounce Zone

Here comes Maggie and Amanda! Then down comes Caleb, on his belly!
Even Saturday Morning rain can't stop us from having fun!!
First David made us some yummy muffins for breakfast. Then Amanda and Maggie came over to hang out, while Andrew is home working on the upstairs of the house. I drove Michelle Marie to Driver's Ed. She has a couple of hours left of driving to do and then she gets her permit. That's exciting!! Then we headed over to The Bounce Zone, right here in Saco. Caleb and Maggie absolutely loved it. They were running non-stop, bouncing, climbing and sliding. They had such a wonderful time. It was awesome! Of course I went crazy with the pictures and videos. I just really enjoy watching them have so much fun:-)Caleb makes some friends. Then here comes Caleb and Amanda!Heres a little overview of the place.

Our Vacation On The Ocean

Well, the rain finally stopped, so David and I could enjoy our vacation. So far, so good. We didn't really have any big plans on the agenda, just to relax mostly. We went on a few day trips to New Harbor, Pemaquid and Camden. The coast is so beautiful, we are so lucky. While we were out and about we got a chance to stop in Boothbay to have dinner with Rob, Beth and Aelia. We don't see them often enough, so that was nice. Then we spent a couple of days out on Monhegan Island. In case you don't know much about it, it's 480 acres of forests, cliffs, and rocky coastline. It takes about an hour on the boat from New Harbor to get out there. There is a quaint little village with art galleries, craft shops and food. We did a lot of hiking, because there is so much to see. The views are spectacular as you can see. There are a lot of artists that go out there just to paint the sights. We also saw lots of seals on the way back to the inland. We had some fabulous days. Let's hope the weekend weather continues this way. Caleb will be with us tomorrow, for the weekend. Who knows what's in store:-)

A Day At The Beach

What a beautiful Sunday!!!

The Fourth of July and the Fourth Annual Tripp Clambake

The fourth of July already, it doesn't seem possible.
Well, we finally had Caleb for the whole weekend(two weekends in a row actually). A time that both David and Caleb have been waiting for and the time they both deserve to spend together!!!(and more time will come) David is a wonderful Father and I love watching the two of them together. It's so nice to see Caleb look up at David and say, "Daddy, I love you, you're in my heart!" We enjoy the time so very much. It's so limited, so we make the most of it. We all have a great time together.
My sister Amanda and brother-in-law Andrew have been throwing a clambake for the past 3 years, at the Tripp camp in Baldwin, Me. This was the fourth annual Tripp Clambake and it just happened to fall on the fourth this year. We always have a great time! You just can't beat the food, the fun, the friends and all of the kids, it's just a fun time. The weather wasn't that great, but we can't change that.
Caleb found these green strapped sunglasses at Amanda's. He put them on and wore them upside down for most of the day:-) Nice look?? This kid is not shy at all. He hit it right off with all the other boys and had a great time. Unfortunately, we didn't camp out that night, but there's still time for that. Hope you all had a happy and safe Fourth of July!

Saturday Morning Shave With Dad

Playing Ball In The Yard

Caleb is getting very good at T-Ball, he even tries it with his basketball! Again, you've just gotta love his laughter:-) We certainly fit in a lot of fun on the weekends and this is only Friday!

Puddles At The Playground

Friday afternoon Caleb wanted to go to the park across the road, so we did. There were puddles everywhere from all of the rain, but there were lots of kids playing on all the equipment. I think Caleb went down the slide once and this is where he ended up staying for the rest of the time we were there. No harm done and as you can see he was having a great time.
