Apple Picking
We drove to Limington, on Sunday to pick apples. It was a great place. They had hayrides, corn mazes, music. You could pick apples, plums and raspberries and then grab a pumpkin on the way out. It was pretty cold on Sunday, considering Saturday was in the 80s. Although it's much better apple picking in the cool air. We were dressed pretty warm. These two(Caleb and Maggie) get together and all silliness breaks out. They run and laugh and have a great time. William was really good too, not a peep out of him. He was awake the whole time just looking around. Don't you just want to kiss those cheeks. After apple picking we all went to lunch and then David, Caleb and I headed to visit Grammie, Grampie and Aunt Donna. We shared some of our picks with them and then Caleb brought some to his Mommy's house. We've still got plenty! Maybe David and Caleb will make an apple pie this weekend.
Caleb And William
Here they are watching Charlotte's Web together. Look at those little toes, I just want to kiss them.

Fall Has Arrived
Autumn! A busy, yet fun time of year.
The pool is all closed up for now, for a long winters nap. Fall is here and it's a wonderful time of year. It's my favorite season. The changing of the leaves, the apple picking, pumpkin picking, the nice cool crisp air. I love it! Ahhhh, and yes, school has started. Parents everywhere are singing words of praise. Alyssa is back at college and very happy about that. She loves it. I do have to say, it's a little bit harder for me this year. My last baby is a senior in high school, graduation and then heading off into the big, wild, world. She will do well, I'm sure of it. She is a very strong and smart young woman. But for me... my world is going to be changed forever, an empty house, a quiet house...hmmmm... I guess I'll learn to adjust:-) Maggie, William and Caleb will be here for quite a few more years. No hurry!
Caleb actually started pre-school this year. His Mom and Dad went in to meet with his teachers and talk about the curriculum. Caleb is very excited about that. They also had a full afternoon of fun, before pre-school actually started. Kind of an end of summer celebration. All the parents got to go and have lunch with their children and play games outside all day. They even got to throw pies at the teacher. I think Caleb really enjoyed having that day together with his Mom and Dad. It was good for him. He's also doing a dance class and he's all signed up for hockey. David is going to really enjoy taking him to hockey practices and games. He's already started talking about his old days of hockey, as a boy. He enjoys that.
Amanda did not have to go back to school this year. She was very happy about that. She decided to take a year off to spend with her babies. Which is awesome, she's home where she needs to be. As I've learned over the years, time goes by way too fast to miss any special moments with your children. They're only little once.
David and I are still at our same jobs at UNE. He's been there ten years now and myself nine in January. I did get a nice promotion this year. It feels good to be recognized. It is a crazy time of year for both of us. College students are all back for David and at my office everyone's calling needing a physical for school sports or a school sport's form completed...yesterday. And I cannot forget the lovely, FLU SEASON. Everyone and their Mother needs a flu shot ASAP. Can't wait to see what the CDC has for us this year. Make sure you all get yours:-)
Love to all! Laughter and hugs.

Swimming On Labor Day
Here are some pictures of the kids in the pool. They had such a great time together. I couldn't believe how well Aeli was doing. I was very impressed, she's a good little swimmer. Apparently Caleb was too, because before long after seeing her, he was trying really hard to go under water himself. It was a little bit harder for him, due to the floating device he was wearing:-)haha He dunked his head all the way under before too long. He was very proud and so were we. Thank you Aeli!

I caught Daddy dipping in the batter.

After the reception Amanda and Andrew brought the kids over for the night. This is such a great picture of William. He is so flippen cute. I wish I had pictures of Maggie in Caleb's Batman pjs. She insisted on wearing Caleb's, not her own.
