This morning Caleb came out of his room all dressed in his Lightening McQueen clothes. He said to me, "Look Shell, I got my Lighting McQueen sweatshirt and sweatpants on and look Lightening McQueen socks, (he unzips his sweatshirt) and shirt and I got my Lightening McQueen underwear!" He was so proud. Of course I wanted to show and tell, because it was just so cute how he came out and said it. "Look Shell..." I was calling him The Lightening McQueen Man.
And for breakfast...go figure, who else but Lightening McQueen on his bowl and cup! Love this kid, love having him home with us, getting ready for the school/work day. He's quite a character.Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Mary's Walk And Kerrymen Pub Road Race 2010
Another year has come and gone. This year marks the 12th annual Mary's Walk. There was a great turn out today, even though the air was frigid. Thousands of people walked and ran to raise money for the Maine Cancer Foundation. Alyssa ran it this year. The rest of us walked it. It's a 3 mile race/walk. Everyone starts at Thornton Academy High School on Main St., we walk around Saco and meet back up at The Kerrymen Pub, also on Main St. If you're interested in checking it out, go to www.maryswalk.org.
Maggie looks thrilled to be here...not. It actually looks like she's rolling her eyes at us.
Alyssa getting ready to run the race.
Bundling Maggie up before we start walking. (she's in there)
Andrew and his Mom

This is where all the runners and walkers meet after the race. There is so much food to be eaten, donated by the local businesses. They also give out awards back here.
We met up with Cole and Quinn afterward. Their parents, Abby and Kirk both ran.
Maggie chose a nice healthy hot dog to eat.
More of the crowd gathered around. It's a great event every year. Lots of money raised for cancer!! The gentleman up and over to the left, in the green sweatshirt and blue undershirt is Matt Libby. He is the son of Mary, whom the Mary's Walk is named after. He is friends with my sister and a close friend of the Tripp family.

A Beautiful Spring Day
We tried out a new park on Saturday. It was great, it wasn't too packed, there were a lot of different, new things to do. The weather, as everyone knows was absolutely beautiful. It couldn't have been a better day.
A Nice March Evening
Amanda and Maggie came over for dinner on Friday. After dinner we all went outside to play. Caleb and Maggie...(and Alyssa) were riding their bicycles. Maggie's feet are just able to reach the pedals this year. She's just learning to pedal and steer, so we guided her a long a little bit with...well that doesn't matter;-) Alyssa was grabbing their bikes from them and riding off. They were all laughing about it. Eveyone needs a little laughter.
A little race.

More Old Photos Of My girls
Going through some of Alyssa's photos, while we pack up what she's taking on her move to North Carolina. It's so hard when all your babies are growing up and moving on into lives of their own. It's hard to believe how fast the times go. Weren't they just this little?
All my girls together at Amanda's wedding in July of 2006. They are so beautiful! Just a couple of years after this picture was taken Michelle was as tall as Ashley.
Alyssa was so good at everything she did.
Michelle and Alyssa with their sister pups, Sophie and Cubby. And yes, those two dogs were treated just their babies. Truly loved!
Funny, I don't remember them liking each other this much:-)

Grammie And Grampie Came Over For A Visit
Could it have been a more perfect day on Sunday! Grammie and Grampie came over for dinner and play. Here are a few pictures of Grampie and Caleb playing ball together.
This is a great picture of Dad Russell:-)
Something struck Caleb funny.
Action shot!
They played all different kinds of ball together. We always have so much fun together. It was so warm and sunny. I hope spring time stays with us.
He's all pooped out.
We had a wonderful day full of fun with Grammie and Grampie. Aunt Donna couldn't make it this time, maybe next time. We missed you Donna.

Feels Like Spring Time. YAY!!!
What a gorgeous weekend. We played outside as much as we could. This is from Saturday. We took Caleb's bike out and he was a pro, didn't miss a beat. He rode down to the end of our road with me running after him. There was a bunch of kids riding their bikes in the culdisac, so we stuck around for awhile.
Here they are checking out the line prints on their hands from the handlebars. They thought that was great.
This little boy named Sam had a Spider Man bike. Caleb thought that was way cool!
They raced around and around together. Sam started saying, to Caleb that his bike was just a baby bike, because he was five and Caleb was only four. Caleb looked at him and said, "That was mean." Then I let them both know that the bikes were exactly the same size, except Sam's seat was raised higher because he is taller. They switched bikes for awhile and both soon decided that Caleb's bike was faster. That made Caleb feel better:-)
He's handling his bike better, he's not worried if he's going to fall and when going around the corners he actually bends his body into the turn. Just like a pro! Watch how fast he goes. He's a Super Rider:-)
