Sledding With The Family

You wouldn't think by seeing all that grass, that it would be good for sledding, but it was great. It was  covered with just enough ice on top of the grass to really go down.
We had a slumber party last night with Mags and Caleb, went sledding today, then played and ate lunch at Amanda's. William was so good, while we were sliding. We had a great time today! I'm ready for bed now:-)

This was the first of our 3 or 4 Christmas'. This one was with Beth, Rob, Aelie and Sawyer since they're not here on "Christmas Day".

Decorating The Christmas Tree

I love going through all the decorations each year. All the special decorations the girls made, while growing up. It brings back so many memories of them when they were little and how much they enjoyed Christmas. Getting out the cookies and milk for Santa and the carrots for the reindeer, the anticipation of Santa Claus coming, how early they got up to look and see what was under the tree, watching the excitement on their faces as they opened their gifts. It all goes by so quickly.

This year(and last year) I'm lucky enough to get to enjoy it all again with Caleb. David and Caleb got the tree this year, while I was at work. They did a great job. Caleb really enjoyed decorating the tree this year, last year not so much. It was a lot of fun, singing and dancing to Christmas songs together, while making our tree look beautiful.

Our Anniversary

We decided this year, since it was Caleb's turn at his Mom's for Thanksgiving and my girls were spending the holiday with their boyfriends, that we would go away and celebrate our anniversary. It was so wonderful, beautiful and oh so relaxing. I didn't know I could enjoy "relaxing" so much. David on the other hand, I knew it would be just what he needed. The view, the food, the room, the outdoor pool, and of course The Spa were absolutely perfect. We each had a massage and a facial, which were both amazing. We soaked in the jacuzzi, sat in the steam room and sauna and just relaxed together. It was great.(did I say that already?) Swimming in the pool after it snowed was pretty nice too. The people/staff were so generous and friendly.   It was so worth it, we're already making plans for next year;-)
