The Last Day of May

We got up early this morning, had some coffee and breakfast and then Caleb wanted to watch the "Cars" movie. Normally, we don't let him watch TV while he is here because there isn't enough time with him, but now that he's sleeping over, we thought one movie would be alright. After we got dressed, we went out on a bike ride, went to the park with Maggie, Amanda and Andrew and then had a picnic lunch by the river.

Our First Family Bike Ride

Here they are, ready to go on our first bike ride together. It was a perfect afternoon for it. Caleb loved it! He was pointing to everything and saying, "Hello" to everyone. I can't wait to go again tomorrow.

Michelle and Gabi Hanging Out

While David and Caleb were getting ready for our bike ride, I snapped a picture of Gabi and Michelle just hanging out.

Caleb And Daddy Working On their Bikes

David and I bought some bikes together last summer and we loved riding them. We rode them as often as we could. We'd put on a backpack with towels, drinks and books in it, then ride to the beach and hang out for a couple of hours. So, I figured with Caleb here now, we needed a seat for him to come along with us. Actually, I thought about buying a seat last year, but it didn't happen so I bought one for him today so we can all go riding together. Here is David trying to put it on. Caleb wanted to help too, so he grabbed some tools of his own and started to work on his bike:-)

Caleb Gets A Haircut

Today David and Caleb got a haircut together. Caleb did very well. He watched her every move in the mirror, as she was cutting. I think the lollipop was a good incentive.

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent the weekend with family, had some fun and also fit in some yard work. Maggie's Birthday was Saturday. We had some good food with the Russells and Kasers on Sunday. It was wonderful to finally meet Beth's parents. Grampie Russell even did some swinging on Aelia's indoor swing:-) We went to the Memorial Day parade with Amanda, Maggie and some friends on Monday. Then we planted some much needed grass on Monday afternoon. (Here he is Dad Russell, caught on camera doing yard work;-)) We do work very well together!
Oh yes, and I can't forget to mention my first born daughter Ashley, who lives in Florida and whom I miss very much, turned...23 years old. Wow!!! I know I don't look old enough.(ha,ha) It was a wonderful weekend!

Here she is checking out her new wheels.

Hanging on to her Daddy's leg.

Just opened her first fishing pole, from Grampie Tripp. I don't think she knows what it is or what to do with it.

Here she is with her cool George sunglasses on;-)

Mmmmm, here's the cake.

Here's a nice big bite! Is Mommy really letting me do this?

What a mess!!!

Sharing birthday cake with all of my friends:-)

I'm not sure if I want any help opening my presents? But thanks Isabelle!!! Reading one of my birthday cards with Aunie, while Uncle Nate is pointing for me to look at something.

How many kids can we fit in one sandbox?

Phewww, that was a lot work! It's not easy being 2!

Maggie Going Up The Slide?

Grammie Russell this is what I was telling you about, how Maggie was using the slide upside down. I'm not sure what she's trying to accomplish here.

Our Wednesday Dinner With The Tripps

Traditionally we do dinner once a week with my sister Amanda, Andrew and Maggie, usually a Wednesday night. This Wednesday it was nice outside, so we were able to play outside before and after dinner:-) Alyssa came with us tonight, which is nice. Maggie is so darn cute. I just love her so much. Here she is, sliding, playing ball and mowing the driveway.(love the boots she's wearing) Enjoy!!!
